     Simple isn't always easy

It is not seldom that special requirements lead to unusual trains of thought. Börger, as the technology leader in the rotary lobe pump sector, has often set the trend of technical reorientation in past years. The latest trend we are setting is now in the biogas sector.

If a NaWaRo (German abbreviation for renewable raw materials) biogas plant is put into operation using a displacement pump, during the first 8 to 12 months no problems worth mentioning crop up. But if the DS content and with that the proportion of non-fermentable hard materials in the fermentation substrate increase, the service lives of the rubber coated parts inside the rotating displacement pumps abate. That is, of course, even the case in the otherwise so robust and long lasting BÖRGER rotary lobe pumps.

Our maintenance-friendly rotors we have developed so far, such as the rotors with replaceable tips and the Optimum rotors with the especially large sealing surface, promise an improvement in specific biogas applications, but still no outstanding, and above all permanent, solution.

Optimum -> Premium -> Premium Profile

The guide contour in the Optimum rotor is designed so that hard particles cannot get caught between the lobes.

The Premium rotors were developed for the sugar industry. It is manufactured from a robust steel and has been tried and proven many times.

The Premium profile rotors are sealed entirely rubber-free, allowing them to be constructed without any wear-prone materials.

We supply the biogas rotors -
The NaWaRo's substitute the otherwise usual, repeatedly worn-out rubber coating.

- The new rotors are so designed that the integral profile grooves are pressed with fibrous NaWaRo's.

- This constantly replaced covering creates the seal between the rotating rotors and the housing all around.

- The large outer surface in the Premium rotors and the profiles integrated here are what make the long lasting biogas rotors feasible.

- Erste Drehkolben sind seit 6 Monaten ohne bisherige Abnutzungserscheinungen in Betrieb.

And best of all:
These rotors can be used in nearly any of the previously supplied pumps!

The Premium profile rotor - designed for simple and effective operation.
