We were awarded with an order for 40 Rotary Lobe Pumps from one of the largest European Biogas-plants. In the forefront of this order, the client did 1 year test-phase, in which the Börger Rotary Lobe Pump with Premium Profile Rotor has been proven superior. The competitors pumps, which will be replaced, have shown excessive wear patterns on the rotors after only a few weeks, despite the fact that these pumps where equipped with the praised 'solid-ramp'. Additional problems were, frequent failures of the seals and timing gearbox. Progressive Cavity pumps were not an option for the customer in this installation, as he had installed these type of pumps in another large biogas-plant. but the durability is not as good and the expensive spare parts and high maintenance demands are very high.
That proves that we see ourselves as the problem solver. We became a manufacturer of Rotary Lobe Pumps 20 years ago, as there was no suitable Rotary Lobe Pump on the market at that time. Today there are problems and difficulties of handling renewable resources. We have recognized the problem early enough and presented the Premium Profile Rotor for the Börger Biogas Pump.
